Distractions
To avoid writing ten pages of my never-ending novel (it does have an ending, I just haven't gotten there yet), I have:
pulled a table out of our shed, cleaned it off, and created an area of our living room that I call my 'office'
moved a lot of other furniture around
done laundry
deep-conditioned my hair
reread several of the Chronicles of Narnia
listened to an April March album and danced in an alarming way
taken several smoke breaks
made cornbread
cleaned a lot of things
repositioned my new desk several times in order to find a placement that is most conducive to creative thought
organized things
talked to my dog
admired my work
taken two (2) showers
Now that is what I call a productive day.
