Scooter-Rama: Opinion Poll
This could be the most important question of our lifetimes:
Should I go with lime-green, which is bright and fresh and just a bit unusual?
Or classic red, for a more sporty look?
Or maybe that sexy black number?
Or is sunny yellow the right color for me?
Some people (okay, most people) say that I'm crazy to think a scooter is a replacement for a car. I look at it this way; I could spend a lot more money on a car I really can't afford, or buy a cheap hunk of junk that will be unreliable and inefficient, or I could get a brand-spankin'-new scooter with 80 miles to the gallon and a limited warantee for $899. Yes, there are safety issues, even my motorcycle-riding, whisky-drinking father has lectured me on those. However, I think that they are neglecting to factor in the fact that I have absolutely no wish to die anytime soon. I'm an excellent driver, excellent.
So please, refrain from the chiding, and just tell me which color would look best on me.

I say red or black. You've got to look as cool as possible if you're driving a scooter. Also, you are crazy if you think that thing will handle the beastly streets of MN in the wintertime. My Honda front wheel drive barely got me to work today.
They have buses in Minneapolis, right? Because buses are my wintertime plan. And I would look cool on a lavendre scooter with Dora the Explorer painted on the sides; cool isn't the issue. The issue is, is it me?

I do like the red. The shiny, candy-like red. But I find myself almost irresistably drawn to the lime green.
lime green is very now, very of the moment. i'd choose black but i like black a lot. Dora the Explorer is super awesome. That would be my 3rd choice.
Lime green is so 2K - you'll look back and it'll be like seeing yourself witha Farah Fawcett do.
I say yellow, but then again, my third most favouritest animation in the world involves a woman (who is actually an alien, naturally) who travels around on a yellow scooter (a Vespass) and whacks little boys on the head with her guitar, causing interdimensional portals to sprout from the foreheads.

SD, too true, my friend. Sure, it would be fine for now, and then, when green is totally out? I'd be a laughingstock.
But how long will you have a scooter? You won't get tired of it. And do you really want your scooter to be, like, classic or timeless? No. Live in the now! This girl I know named Tina, she had a bubble gum pink scooter in high school. Rocking the 80s. It was so right. Live in the now.
Green, totally. For $899 you can afford to be trendy. Besides, you can get a purse and jacket to match so easily just now, and probably a helmet too.
For instance, Neiman Marcus has a lovely pink/green lunchbox that would look lovely with the scooter.
See, everybody? Michelle is really being helpful here, and totally swaying me toward the green with the lure of matching accessories.
